Over 76% for holiday action
Over 76% of those responding in a ballot have voted for industrial action on Public Holiday scheduling.The ballot, covering ESPG members in Studios, followed discussions with local management, originating in 2002, that eventually resulted in Branch representatives putting forward three proposals to resolve the disputed scheduling of UPA2 staff.
Of those replying to the ballot 76.3% voted for industrial action.
It is planned the result of the ballot will be discussed with management at a meeting on 25 August 2004.
Management have been given dates for the discontinuous industrial action the Branch Committee is planning, information that is required to be provided by law.
Official notice of the industrial action will be sent to all members in Studios in the next few days from BECTU Head Office
