Post industrial action vote

Post Production members have voted to carry out industrial action to oppose changes in staff scheduling.

In the ballot Post Production operational members, including Editors and Assistants, where asked:

In support of BECTU seeking to resolve the unsociable hours associated with core hours scheduling in Post Production are you prepared to:
  1. Work to rule?
  2. Take industrial action up to and including strike action?
  3. Strike in support of any suspended member taking approved action in this dispute?

Members voted yes in answer to all three questions - with an overwhelming majority for 1 and a substantial majority for 2.

Post Production management have been approached to discuss the situation with Branch officials.

A formal industrial action ballot will be required before industrial action can be implemented.
